Daniel Godin, 100, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, just days after celebrating his 100th birthday.
Born on February 5, 1926, to Samuel and Bessie Godin, Daniel lived a remarkable century defined by service, hard work, devotion to family, and deep community roots.

Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. As a member of the Greatest Generation, he embodied the values of honor, discipline, and loyalty throughout his life. His military service was a source of quiet pride and a lasting example to all who knew him.
Following his service, Daniel became a respected restaurateur, owning and operating restaurants in South Glens Falls, Glens Falls, and Saratoga Springs. Through dedication and tireless effort, he built not only successful businesses but warm and welcoming gathering places where friends, family, and neighbors shared meals and created lasting memories. His establishments reflected his generous spirit, strong work ethic, and deep belief in the power of community.
Above all, Daniel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elaine Godin. He is survived by his children, Deborah Godin-Chan, Joseph Godin, and Jodie Godin; his grandchildren, Chandler and Madison Godin, Kayla and Rose Denue; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Daniel’s steady presence, wisdom, and strength shaped generations. He led by example, offering guidance through both his words and his actions. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on February 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Glick’s Funeral Home in Boca Raton FL.
In addition, family and friends are invited to call from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Carleton Funeral Home, 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls, NY.
A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Rite of committal will take place following the services at Pine View Cemetery in Queensbury, NY.
While we mourn the loss of a life so deeply cherished, we celebrate a century well lived. Daniel Godin’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community he proudly served.
